Honor Those Who Fought and Died: Go Vote Today

“I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in a joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did.”

President Benjamin Harrison

I hope you had a special Memorial Day yesterday. I hope you took at least a little time to think about those who paid the ultimate price for our liberty and for this great country.

And I hope you’ll continue to pay your respects by fulfilling your most important duty as a citizen today.

One of the unusual – and, honestly, providential – twists of this year’s election calendar is that Election Day for the party primaries falls one day after Memorial Day.

That means Election Day is today.

And if you haven’t already, you need to go vote.

It’s your responsibility. It’s something a whole lot of people have given an awful lot to make sure you can do. And it’s your last chance.

Go vote.
