I’m incredibly excited that Hillary Clinton is the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party in the 2016 Presidential Race. I can’t wait to watch her debate Donald Trump with poise, stand tall above the low-blow attacks from the GOP, and ultimately win the election in November. I’m excited for Hillary Clinton because she has vast experience and has been put to the test.he’s also tough as nails and has a firm grasp on pressing policy issues in the foreign and domestic realm.
Hillary’s experience in all major areas of policy has been unmatched by any candidate on either side of the aisle for the 2016 race. Her experience at the State Department and as a senator have given her a skillset we need in a President given today’s turbulent international politics.
In addition, she also has vast knowledge of women’s issues, education, the economy, criminal justice reform, prison reform, healthcare reform, banking regulation, and more. She’s not just blowing hot air like Donald Trump. If you ask her about an issue, she gives an eloquent answer with policy proposals to back it up. She is ready to be President and fight for what she believes in.
Another major reason I believe in Hillary is her unwavering ability to keep her poise in the face of all the sexist remarks and unfair associations to her husband’s mistakes that the GOP continually brings up. Being the first woman to clinch the Presidential nomination, she has had to overcome many obstacles which male candidates don’t face. All the while, she doesn’t complain about it in the slightest. I know that she will have no problem handling whatever the GOP tries to throw at her over the next five months.
I believe one of President Obama’s only weaknesses in office was that he came into office without many friends in the Senate or the House who would side with him in passing legislation. Political networking and the system of favors involved with it is something the Clintons know well. Whether we like inside politics or not, it’s a reality. Hillary knows how to maneuver effectively in the game of politics. This strength would undoubtedly help her move her agenda forward and hopefully break up some of the political stagnation the government is suffering.
Earlier in the race, I had issues about the authenticity and level of passion Hillary showed. However, it seems recently she has been acting very presidential and exuding more passion and emotion in her speeches. I was also excited by the news of President Obama’s endorsement of Hillary. I trust and respect the judgment and opinion of Obama and knowing he is excitedly campaigning for Hillary only further confirms both my excitement and passion in supporting her candidacy.
I will be doing all that I can to make sure that Hillary and Bill move back into the White House in January 2016.
