Proposed Law Targets Teen Sexting

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott and State Senator Kirk Watson announced that they want to change the laws regarding teen sexting.
Right now, it is a felony for anyone to transmit and explicit image of a teen. The proposed change would be that minors would not be charged with a felony if they sent those images.
The proposed sexting legislation would only apply to sending sexual images, not words.
