Capital Metro reform requires “a bias toward action”

State Senator Kirk Watson, of Austin, released the following statement today regarding the response by the Capital Metro Transportation Authority to recommendations from the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission:
"My legislation to reform Capital Metro created a bias toward action. I am generally pleased to see that the agency is in agreement with the Sunset Commission and appears poised to move forward,” Senator Watson said.
"But actions speak louder than words. I, along with the rest of this region, will be watching to see that Capital Metro follows through on these changes. The agency, and the board, must be biased toward action."
