Can you feel it?
Sure you can. I mean, who can’t? It’s that time of year. The feeling of anticipation is everywhere.
School’s about to start. Baseball teams are making pennant runs. NFL training camps are happening. And there’s the annual fight over which college football team is really the pre-season Number 1 (OK, I admit that debate is as boring and ridiculous as it’s been in previous years).
But the truth is that only one thing causes that special tingle – that excitement – you get this time of year. Only one thing is keeping you on-edge, awake at night, unable to hold a thought or catch your breath.
It’s time for the annual Concert Under the Stars.
You know it as that party we’ve been having down at Zilker Park for the last four years.
The one where a bunch of folks get together, hang out, have fun, and take in some great music in Austin’s crown jewel of a park.
It’s now an Austin tradition of good folks, good music, and lots of dancing and fun.
The fifth anniversary Concert Under the Stars is coming up on October 7, at 8 p.m.
It’s time to SAVE THE DATE and SIGN UP.
This year, we’ll welcome an explosive performer for the show – Robert Randolph and the Family Band. This band has been featured on Late Night with David Letterman and opened for the likes of Clapton. It’s known for lively stage performances, led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph. Rolling Stone magazine named him one of the top 100 guitarists of all time.
Click here to see a video we’ve got posted. That also just so happens to link to the page where you can get tickets to the big show and become a sponsor for the event.
So clear your calendars for the evening of October 7. Alert your friends. And get over to www.kirkwatson.com for tickets.
You’re not going to want to miss this. If you do, you’ll have to wait a whole year for the next one.
