Last Chance

Back when we first announced that Patty Griffin would play the Zilker Park party this year, the "Save the Date" card included an illustration of a ton of red hair, reminiscent of, well, Patty's great hair.  It looked like this:

I loved it.

But it was suggested that since this shindig is a "Kirk Watson" fundraiser, there might be a more appropriate head shot.  So a camera phone was improperly abused to snap a picture of the back of my head – just for comparison’s sake, you know.

Let's just say, it doesn't create the same excitement.

Anyway, the event’s almost here – just three days away now.  There’s as much anticipation for this one as I’ve ever seen, and it should be just a great, great party.

So I really hope I’ll see all of you at Zilker on Thursday night.  You can learn all about it – and get tickets – here.

And this campaign season, let’s just forget about hair.  I mean, come on, can someone associated with their hair really have a career in Texas politics?
